"A year from now, what advice might you give to your past self that could help you overcome any obstacles you are currently facing? Explain how this advice could help you live your life with CF to the fullest potential right now. As part of your essay please also explain the significance of your creative presentation to your journey with CF."

A year from now I would give myself the advice to stay positive. In the worst of times it can be very hard to find motivation, confidence, and hope. Find hope in friends, family, and those who support you. When you feel yourself begin to frown turn it upside down. Living with CF is difficult but with a positive attitude your health will benefit. Do not allow CF and its difficulties to consume your mental stability. Remaining positive and filling others with encouragement will help you not only feel better but give you a hope that will keep you going strong. Help others and be the best person you can be even when you may not feel as well as you’d like, I promise it will raise your spirits. Never take anything for granted. This advice can help me live to my fullest potential by reminding me that life is precious, so I need to make it count! My creative presentation is a picture of me holding a framed painting I created of Alaska. I visited Alaska with my family and felt so inspired by its natural beauty. I felt it was inspirational to my journey because it reminds me to try something new, get out and enjoy the world. I sometimes limit myself because of my CF and this painting is a subtle reminder that I CAN do anything I set my mind to!
