Four years ago I was lying in a hospital bed waiting for the doctors to make their rounds. Up until this moment I never knew how much Cystic Fibrosis was destroying my body until the doctors came in with an X-ray of my lungs showing the damage that covered a large majority of my right lung.

I will never get this part of my lung back and I could not get this image out of my head. God heard my heart crying and sent me Michelle. Michelle instantly showed me the light. Fighting won't get rid of the scarring, but it can prevent future scarring and damage so that I can continue to breathe for another day. I soon found out Michelle is extremely passionate about volunteering to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis and even got me to become as passionate as I was about fighting Cystic Fibrosis as I was as a kid. Without Michelle being so passionate about finding a cure, I'm not sure if I'd be here today.

My creative presentation is a way to express my struggles. Growing up all I wanted was to be normal yet, I spent most of my time in the hospital where puzzles became my main hobby. Breathing is something most people take for granted, but seeing the yellow airways represents my dream to have clear and open airways. The presentation represents a puzzle that is in need of a cure in order for it to be complete.
