"2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the AbbVie CF Scholarship. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing to recognize more students pursing their educational goals. Please share your future ambitions in the Cystic Fibrosis community, professionally and personally."

The Cystic Fibrosis community is a place where everyone with Cystic Fibrosis, or family members of people who have CF, can support each other, obtain guidance, and meet others who are going through the same unique challenges that those who aren’t affected by Cystic Fibrosis don’t experience. The Cystic Fibrosis community has provided a safe place to ask questions or express concerns about the different ailments we may be experiencing. For me, the Cystic Fibrosis community has been a source of inspiration and support. I can read about others who have CF and the incredible things they are doing, and I can connect with people going through the same challenges that I am. As I continue to face challenges, I look forward to being able to do the same thing that others have done for me. I have many future ambitions for my involvement within the Cystic Fibrosis community, both professionally and personally. Professionally, I plan on being able to bring more awareness and recognition to those who have CF. Often, the challenges that we go through can be overlooked or not always appreciated. I plan to create awareness and gain more recognition for Cystic Fibrosis in order to expedite the efforts in finding a cure, or finding ways to better the lives of those with CF. I am currently pursuing a degree in Marketing at Arizona State University. Marketing focuses on highlighting the importance of products and emphasizing why consumers may need a product or service. The skills I am learning will translate perfectly into bringing more awareness toward the Cystic Fibrosis Community. I will be able to use my career and the skills I learn to further the efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis community. I did not know how extensive the Cystic Fibrosis community was until my senior year of high school. I believe many teens with CF would benefit greatly from knowing there is an entire community of people that knows exactly what they are going through. I plan to help these teenagers to know that there is this amazing community for them to grow and learn from. Personally, I am looking forward to meeting more people through the CF community. I am looking forward to building relationships and having people I can connect with and motivate as we go through our unique trials. I also look forward to providing those with Cystic Fibrosis, especially children and teenagers, with the motivation and determination to reach for their goals. I have met a few people who have Cystic Fibrosis already and it has been amazing to see the challenges they have overcome and the fantastic things they have done with their lives. The Cystic Fibrosis community is an amazing resource for people who have CF, and I am excited to be able to continue to be a part of this incredible community and to do my part in giving back through my professional and personal efforts.
