"Living through a global pandemic with a chronic illness, what is one piece of inspirational advice that you would give to other students with CF who are in the same or similar position?"

This past year in an ironic twist was my healthiest year while the rest of the world dealt with covid. I went over a year without being inpatient. As I ride the wave and celebrate my health I also keep a level head recognizing it won’t always be this good. So my advice to someone is to take things as they come, good and bad. When the bad comes remember there will be good and when the good comes, stay humble and understand it won’t stay. The second part of my advice sounds really depressing. Why choose to be bummed out when you are on top of the world. I see it in a more inspiring realm. Like on a ferris wheel, when you are on the bottom, someone else will be on top and when you are up they will be down. As we live life, we don’t live as a true individual. We exist around others and they exist around us. It is our job to celebrate others and have them celebrate us.
