"2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the AbbVie CF Scholarship. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing to recognize more students pursing their educational goals. Please share your future ambitions in the Cystic Fibrosis community, professionally and personally."

I am not just my health, I am more than my health, but I can use my health to advocate for those like me and as an extension those under the protected class status. The combination of my education and my growing career in human resources is providing a platform of advocacy. My goal is to teach those like me what their rights are as an applicant or employee and how they deserve to be treated in the working environment. I would love to speak at my alma mater and show undergraduates who are disabled and scared about their next phase of life that they have the tools to be successful – with an emphasis on my fellow CF’ers. I would love to take my education and teach business owners how to create a psychologically sound and inclusive environment. As I move forward in my career and education it has become painfully apparent that there are businesses that have no idea that they are not allowed to ask applicants about their disability status or ask leading questions alluding to disability status. My goal is to fix that, and a major factor of correcting this design starts with education. Education for the applicants and education for the companies and recruiters. I am very happy where I am in life right now, in my education and in my work. I want others with Cystic Fibrosis to be happy and psychologically sound as well.
